Privacy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This page covers the GoForIt website and its waitlist. The app will have its own policy before launch. If something here is unclear, write to us and we will answer in plain words.
Who is responsible
GoForIt is a project by Rayann Sagnon and Seryne Ould Rabah.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information: Rayann Sagnon, co-founder. Contact: privacy@goforit.fit.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
Only what we need to send you news about the launch and to prove that you agreed to it:
- your email address;
- the date and time you ticked the consent box, and which version of that box you saw;
- the language of the page (English or French) and the page you signed up from;
- whether you confirmed your address, and when.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, age, health or fitness information to join the waitlist. The website uses no cookies and no advertising trackers. It counts visits without identifying anyone (see “Audience measurement”).
To stop abuse, our server counts sign-up attempts per network address for ten minutes. That address is kept in memory only and is never stored or sent to anyone. Our host, Vercel, keeps short technical logs that can include it.
Audience measurement
To count visits and see which pages and sources bring visitors, so we can improve the site, we use Vercel Web Analytics, a service of Vercel Inc. (United States), our host.
It sets no cookies and does not identify you. To tell visits apart without knowing who you are, it computes a code from your connection’s request and discards it after 24 hours. Your email and anything you type in the form are never sent to it.
Vercel shows us totals only, never a person. The statistics stay available to us for one month; Vercel may keep them longer. They are processed in the United States, so outside Québec.
For each page view, it records:
- the date and time;
- the address of the page, without what follows a ? or a #: our site removes those parts before anything is sent;
- the site you came from;
- your approximate location (country, region, city);
- your operating system, browser and type of device.
Why we use it
To send you news about GoForIt's launch and early access, and nothing else. We never sell or rent your address, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your consent
You join by ticking a box that is not ticked for you. We then email you a link to confirm your address. You are on the list only after you click it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Where it is kept
Your waitlist data is kept by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), the service that sends our emails. Brevo stores it in the European Union, on servers in France, Germany and Belgium, so outside Québec. Before choosing Brevo we assessed this transfer and found the protection adequate. Brevo acts only on our instructions.
How long
We delete your waitlist data 12 months after GoForIt launches if you have not created an account. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we delete it right away, at the latest within 30 days.
Your rights
Write to privacy@goforit.fit to:
- see the information we hold about you;
- correct it;
- withdraw your consent;
- have it deleted;
- get a copy as a CSV file.
How we answer
We answer within 30 days, at no cost. We may ask you to confirm the request from the same email address, so that we only give your information to you.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
Unsubscribe
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click is enough. You can also write to us.
If something goes wrong
If your information is ever lost, stolen or seen by someone who should not see it, and this could cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Commission d'accès à l'information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we will tell you by email before it applies.
